Puppy Information

As females whelp, our priorities focus on the health of the mom and pups. Healthy moms produce healthy pups. We breed our females once a year and start after 1 and a half years. We do not have many litters as we are not a factory and our dogs are not machines. We pick pairs based on genetics and distant pedigrees. All  puppies are socialized every day with each other and our family. Before a puppy leaves our farm, they must be vet checked. All puppies will have their first round of vaccines and at least wormed 2 times. No puppy will leave the farm until 8 weeks of age. Potential buyers are not able to visit Puppies until their wellness vet check with vaccines. Puppies will be micro-chipped and NKC registered by litter. Pedigrees are supplied. We don't guarantee coat types. Generally, two smooth coats produce smooth coat pups. Two rough coats produce rough coat or heavy broken coat pups. Two broken coats produce mostly broken, then rough, and an occasional smooth coat pup. The tallest of our dogs are 12 inches at the shoulder with the shortest at 9 inches. Weights range from 10 lbs to 19 lbs. We look for breeders that are not too long in the legs with light bodies. We also stay away from too short of legs as bodies tend to be bigger and will stress the dogs joints as they age. (Plus, we're not raising Basset Hounds or Wiener Dogs). A $200.00 deposit will hold the pup of your choice. We reserve the right to hold a pup back or not list it as a potential breeder. If you are a breeder and looking for fresh genetics, please let us know as pictures don't always tell what potential can be.

Types of Coats

Rough Coat

Super Hairy

images.jpeg

Coarse, wiry hair ranging from 1 to 2 inches long, often growing in multiple directions to create a shaggy look. This type requires regular hand-stripping to remove dead hair and maintain its protective quality.

Broken Coat

Heavy to Light Broken

A combination of smooth and rough textures, featuring patches of longer, wiry hair mixed with shorter fur. It offers a "tousled" appearance and requires moderate grooming.

Smooth Coat

Short and Smooth

Short, sleek fur that lies close to the body in one direction. While low-maintenance, it provides the least insulation against cold and can shed heavily.
